WHAT’S INVOLVED

A Chiropractic assessment has many important components that allow us to fully understand the nature of your needs and problems.

Every new consultation has four main components, these are:

  • SUBJECTIVE: This is conducted through asking a series of questions to determining you chief compliant, the onset of your complaint, the pain itself and its characteristics, any associated factors, aggravating factors, relieving factors, your occupation, life style, aims and goals you may want to achieve.

  • OBJECTIVE: This begins by taking your vital signs (blood pressure, pulse and breathing rate).  You will then be asked to move different parts of your spine alongside your arms and legs to assess the quality and quantity of your range of motion alongside testing your muscle strength and sensation in your limbs. Your physical examination would then involve conducting various orthopedic, neurological and cerebellar testing’s.

  • ASSESSMENT: Your most likely diagnosis followed by a differential diagnosis.

  • PLAN OF MANAGEMENT: This may include a combination of hands on therapy with some guided rehabilitation exercises to meet your goals.
